Fireproofing - What Does It Do?

Fireproofing is something that is designed to protect the structural participants of construction. You will discover it is applied to structural metallic or structural concrete. It is a fire protection measure. Why is it needed? Fireproofing is wanted primarily on steel and concrete. Why is it needed on steel? Steel has wonderful structural integrity until it reaches a certain temperature. When it does, the metallic will fail. When this takes place the structural integrity of the building fails and the constructing, or quantities of it could disintegrate. Whereas wood has more structural integrity in the fire when compared to steel. The outer layer of wooden burns and creates a char and this char insulates the internal layer of wooden.
